On Friday 11th November St Winefride’s had the honour of attending two Remembrance Day services.

We took part in the annual service at Central Park, along with the other Newham Deanery schools and other schools from Newham and as usual all the children behaved impeccably. It was a beautiful service as usual and the attendance grows year on year. A huge thank you to Mr Allen for organising this poignant and solemn tribute.

Manor Park Remembrance Service

St Winefride’s also attended a service at Manor Park Library, organised by our dear friend Lesley Soloman. THe children took part in activities and learnt about the sacrifice made by those during the World Wars and conflicts that have taken place since. We were presented with a certificate of participation which will be proudly displayed in the school.
