Role: Finance Apprentice
Salary: Successful candidates will be entitled to be paid at the minimum wage for their age and the year of apprenticeship they are in.
Contract Type: Full Time, 36 hours per week, 52 weeks for up to 36 months
Location: East London (on-site)

About the role:
Our Trust is seeking an enthusiastic Finance Apprentice who can provide high-quality support to our Trust’s dynamic and proactive Finance team. The Finance Apprentice will be supporting the Finance Team in the running of the Finance Services for the Trust. The Finance Apprentice is expected to assist in the day to day running of the School’s Finance process and systems, including invoice/data entry.
As a member of the Trust’s Finance Team, you will also be assisting the Management Accountant and Chief Finance Officer with month-end and year-end tasks. After 12-18 months the opportunity to gain experience in other parts of Finance will be facilitated, options including budget preparation, procurement, payroll and audit (internal and external). This is a great opportunity to get exposure to a variety of accounting tasks and responsibilities.
This role will be based at St Helen’s Catholic Primary School, but you will be expected to travel to each of the Primary School sites within our Trust, all located within the London Borough of Newham.
Full support will be given, to complete a 36-month training programme combining on-the-job training and work experience provided by the Trust, with study delivered through either BPP or Kaplan training providers. You will study towards your ACCA Apprenticeship and chartered certification. 1 day a week is dedicated to off the job learning for your apprenticeship and you will be mentored by a qualified Accountant.
