Catholic Life

Within our schools we celebrate our Catholic Life though a variety of shared experiences which include:

 

  • Whole school and class masses

  • Collective worship, including class prayers and assemblies

  • Following the liturgical calendar to develop the children’s understanding of Advent, Christmas, Lent and Easter

  • Using the Come and See scheme of work, as recommended by the Bishops’ Conference and Diocese of Brentwood

  • Ensuring the Journey in Love programme is used to promote relationship education

  • Providing an experience, where possible, of pilgrimage, either locally, nationally or internationally

  • Supporting a range of charities, such as CAFOD, the Brentwood Catholic Children’s Society and the Living Wage Campaign

  • Promoting acts of mercy and service to others through school events and the Minnie Vinnies Society
